Volunteering

Why Volunteer?

Volunteering at the club helps keep draw curling and bonspiels more affordable.

Every adult ACC member is expected to contribute to the work that is needed at the club, either in maintenance of the facility and the curling ice that isn‘t done by town staff, in management roles, or at the various club events. You can find information about the different opportunities on the ‘My Volunteer Interests’ page under Members Information when you log in to your ACC account.

$80 of your ACC membership fee is a ‘volunteer’ fee, and if you choose not to volunteer during the curling season the Club will keep the fee. Once you’ve done your volunteer work, you get your $80 back!

Can I Share Points?

If one member of a family (living in the same residence) volunteers after getting their volunteer fee refund, they can share or donate their volunteer activities to the other family member. The member must advise the volunteer coordinator.
