President's Message

Welcome Back to the Almonte Curling Club

As the days get shorter and the temperatures begin to drop, it can only mean one thing... curling season is back!

On behalf of the Board of Directors, it is my pleasure to welcome you back to the Almonte Curling Club.

Whether you've been a member for many years or are joining us for the first time, thank you for being part of our club. Every season brings with it a renewed sense of excitement and possibility. We look forward to reconnecting with old friends, meeting new members, and creating the kind of experiences that keep people coming back year after year.

What makes the Almonte Curling Club special isn't just the quality of the curling. It's the people. It's the warm greeting when you walk through the doors, the conversations before and after a game, the encouragement offered to a new curler, and the countless volunteers who give their time and energy to make this club a welcoming place for everyone.

Our club has been an important part of the Almonte community for generations, and that tradition continues because of members like you. Whether you're here to compete, stay active through the winter, spend time with friends, or simply enjoy being part of something bigger than yourself, there's a place for you here.

As we begin another season, I encourage everyone to get involved. Sign up for a bonspiel, volunteer for an event, invite a friend to try curling, or simply take a few moments to introduce yourself to someone new. The strength of our club has always come from the connections we make with one another.

I would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our volunteers, ice team, convenors, and board members. So much of what we enjoy happens because of the hard work of people who care deeply about this club and its future.

Most of all, I hope this season brings you enjoyment, friendship, good health, and memorable moments both on and off the ice. In a world that often feels increasingly busy and disconnected, the Almonte Curling Club remains a place where people can come together, share experiences, and build lasting friendships.

Thank you for being part of our curling family.

I look forward to seeing you around the club this season.

Good curling,

Ian MacLellan
