President's Message

From the Hack,

Welcome to November.

Despite a little hiccup to the ice installation, we seem to be enjoying great ice conditions and our brand spanking new chiller is working flawlessly. All of our leagues are reporting that competition is stiff and that the pre-season rust is gone for most.

We celebrated another 39th birthday for everybody’s favorite bartender on Monday. No sign of this young man slowing down!

Curling etiquette, speed of play and player positioning seem to be improving. Please go to the website or refer to the many signs around the club and refamiliarize yourself with the nuances of the game that will ensure 8 ends of curling are played.

Next Spiel up is for the turkeys. Jill and her poults are working away to ensure this fully booked event is a great success. These spiels and all events at our club rely on volunteers. If you haven’t volunteered yet go to the website and register.

The two clinics being offered by the club this year are fully booked as well. They will run this weekend and we look forward to your feedback.

FOMO! Take the time to read the weekly newsletter put out by our communications team. It is always full of timely information and important notices and events.

See you in the hack,

Don.
