Curling is a great way to meet, play and socialize with your neighbours, and the Almonte Curling Club has leagues for curlers of all levels of experience. You can mix and match leagues to fit your curling goals.
Our instructional leagues allow new or less experienced curlers to learn and develop their skills in a friendly environment.

Our social leagues are more recreationally and socially oriented, although there’s always a competitive spirit. These leagues are great options for curlers graduating from the U5 league.
- The fixed team leagues on Tuesday morning, Tuesday afternoon, Thursday evening, or Sunday afternoon are a great choice if you want to play with the same curlers for six- to seven-weeks at a time. The Sturling league is designed for people who wouldn’t otherwise be able to curl because of limited mobility, and allows you to sign up for the entire season. In these leagues, if you can’t make a game, you’re expected to find a spare from our spares list.

The Monday morning ladies, Monday evening, Friday evening, and Day leagues are best for you if you aren’t able to commit to a regular team for work, family or other reasons. Teams are made up with the curlers who are there on that day, and if you can’t make a game you don’t have to find a spare.
Our competitive leagues offer a more competitive feel while keeping the friendly environment.

The Wednesday evening, Thursday Ladies, and Sunday Men’s and Ladies leagues allow you to register with your team and play with that team for the whole season. The league convenor may be able to find a team for an individual curler.

Learn to Curl
This instructional league is for adults who have never curled before or who are coming back to curling after a long absence. Learn the basics and rules of curling from experienced club members and practice what you learn in a fun environment.
Graduating members are able to apply their new skills by playing the remainder of the season in the Tuesday evening U5 league at no further cost.
Sunday afternoons, 1:30-3:30 pm
The cost is $200.00, which includes HST. The season starts on October 27, 2024 and ends on Febuary 9th, 2025. Graduating members are invited to join the Tuesday evening U5 (Under 5 years experience) League to play for the remainder of the season (March 31) at no further cost.
Monday Morning - Ladies Social
This social league is ideal for women curlers at all experience levels, providing a morning of fun, non-competitive play. The teams are made up each Monday giving you the freedom to come when you’re available and to play as a different team every week. If you can’t make a game you don’t have to find a spare. Occasional ‘Monday Fundays,’ with special games and group lunches are part of this league, so you can socialize with your fellow curlers.

Monday Evening - Junior - Under 18
An instructional league open to curlers up to 17 years old. Our accredited coaches provide curling instruction for all skill levels at weekly practices. Curlers will have the chance for fun activities and more competitive curling against other local youth clubs and at interclub bonspiels. All you need is a pair of clean indoor sneakers.
Monday evenings, 5–6:30 p.m.
Cost is $90.00. The season starts October 7th, 2024 and ends March 24th, 2025.
Monday Evening - Junior - Under 21
An instructional league open to curlers up to 20 years old. Our accredited coaches provide curling instruction for all skill levels at weekly practices. Curlers get the opportunity to play at the club and to expand their experience against other local youth clubs and at interclub bonspiels for their league. All you need is a pair of clean indoor sneakers.

Tuesday Evening - U5 Social
Everyone in this instructional league has 5 years or less curling experience, which is designed for curlers with limited experience who may feel intimidated playing alongside long time curlers. Teams will be set by the league convenor for three six- to seven-week sessions, based on curlers’ experience, interest, and ability. If you can’t make a game, you’re expected to find a spare from our spares list.
Graduates of our L2C program can join at no cost upon completion of the L2C program. If you’re a curler with less than 5 years curling experience, join the U5 league to further hone your curling skills.
Tuesday evenings starting at 6:30 p.m.
Cost is $250.00 which includes the $13.25 CurlOn fee, $80.00 Volunteer Fee and HST. The season starts on October 8th, 2024 and ends on March 24th, 2025.
Wednesday Evening - Fixed
This is the ACC’s most competitive league. Teams register and play together for the whole year. If you can’t make a game, you’re expected to find a spare from our spares list. Depending on the number of teams you might be expected to play at 6:30 p.m. or 8:30 p.m.
Teams play the first two draws on a regular schedule, and after the second draw are seeded into two divisions. A round robin draw is played, and then playoffs determine winners in each division.
While teams usually register together, the league convenor may be able to find a team for an individual curler.

Thursday Afternoon Ladies - Fixed
In this competitive women’s league, teams register and play together for the whole year. If you can’t make a game, you’re expected to find a spare from our spares list. While teams usually register together, the league convenor may be able to find a team for an individual curler.

Little Rocks (7-12yrs old)
This instructional league is a fun, low-cost activity open to children 7 to 12 years old. Instruction from accredited coaches is provided for all skill levels, with an emphasis on skills development, playing the game, and having fun. All your child needs are a helmet and a pair of clean indoor sneakers – we provide the rest.
Friday afternoons, 4:30–5:30 p.m.
Cost is $80.00. The season starts October 18, 2024 and ends March 21, 2025.
Friday Evening - Social
This social league is ideal for curlers at all experience levels, providing games in a fun, non-competitive environment and a fun way to wind the week down and get to know your neighbours. Teams are made up each Friday giving you the freedom to come when you are available and to play as a different team every week. If you can’t make a game you don’t have to find a spare. We encourage new members and all levels of curlers to participate in this very fun league.
Friday evenings starting at 7pm.
Cost is $250.00 which includes the $13.25 CurlOn fee, $80.00 Volunteer Fee and HST. The season starts on October 11, 2024 and ends on March 28th, 2025.
Afternoon Day Curling - Full Season
This social league is ideal for curlers at all levels, although some experience is required. There are four afternoons (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) when you can curl in a fun, non-competitive environment and socialize.
Teams are made up each day giving you the freedom to come when you’re available and to play as a different team every week. If you can’t make a game you don’t have to find a spare. Due to high registration, teams are made up on a first come, first served basis each day. When there are too many curlers, late arrivals sometimes share a spot or they may not be able to play.
The league starts on October 7, 2024.
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, starting at 1 p.m.
Cost is $400.00 . This includes a one time $13.25 CurlOn fee, $80.00 Volunteer Fee and HST.
Sturling - Social
This social league is ideal for people with limited mobility who wouldn’t otherwise be able to curl. Sturling is a six-end, six-rock game, where the rocks move up and down the ice but the curlers don’t. Each team member stays at one end of the sheet for the entire game and takes turns delivering their rocks and skipping from that end. Sweeping is only allowed between the hog line and the back of the house in the playing end, and no stone may be removed from play before the fourth stone of each end. If you can’t make a game, you’re expected to find a spare.
Wednesday and Friday afternoon at 1 pm
Cost is $200.00 which includes the $13.25 CurlOn fee and HST. The season starts on October 16, 2024 and ends on March 25th, 2025.
Social Member
For people who do not want to curl in a league but wish to participate in ACC bonspiels or special events. Note that this membership does not allow you to spare in a league.
Cost is $90.00 which includes HST.
